Today, not being able to stand the sleepless nights, the nightmares, and the weird visions, I had gone to visit the three weird sisters to assure my safety of being King because they were right about my fate the first time. It was dark and rainy evening; I had gone without my lady and my men knowing. I went to the same location as I had before with Banquo and was brought down to their lair. I saw the three hags dancing around the bubbling cauldron and demanded that they tell me about my future. That’s when I saw the many apparitions and I was confused by what the witches had told me. The first apparition I saw was a head wearing a helmet, the second; a blood covered baby, and the third; a child wearing a crown carrying a tree. The hags then told me that I cannot be killed by anyone born of woman, nor will I be conquered until Birnam Wood moves towards the castle, but that I must be aware of Macduff. Surely this means that I cannot be killed human or defeated because it is impossible for Birnam Wood to come to Dunsinane! No one can take my place as King! But wait, I saw a vision right before I left. I saw the successors of Banquo as Kings! I don’t know what to think, I’m baffled. I just don’t understand the apparitions I had seen. I don’t know if I’m more confused now than I was before I went to see the three weird sisters.
